Join the City of Moreton Bay as a Senior Planner – Natural Hazards

The Environment and Sustainability Policy and Planning Department sits within the Planning Directorate, part of the City Futures Group, and takes a lead role in developing the strategic environment, natural hazards and sustainability policies, projects and plans to deliver healthy environments and sustainable outcomes. Its functions are implemented across three branches including Sustainability Planning, Natural Hazards Planning and Biodiversity Planning.
Right now, we are looking for an experienced Senior Planner to join our Natural Hazards Planning team to deliver key projects that improve our city’s resilience.

Key Responsibilities
About you
To excel as a Senior Planner - Natural Hazards, you will have a strong background in strategic planning for at least one of the following natural hazards, specifically heat, flood, coastal erosion and tidal inundation, bushfire, landslide and other emerging natural hazards and climate change risks. That experience includes assessing and managing risks and integrating these considerations into broader land use planning strategies. Experience in flood risk assessment and risk-based land use planning is highly desirable. Additionally, you will have:
