This position will have you predominantly working out of one of our three fleet workshops undertaking daily preventative and corrective maintenance on a diverse range of Council equipment . Your responsibilites will include maintaining light vehicles, trucks, heavy plant (excavators, backhoes, graders, compactors etc.) and other equipment such as tractors, mowers, road sweepers and wood chippers. About you
Ideally you will have demonstrated recent experience in maintenance and repair/overhaul of light, medium and heavy vehicles and mobile plant. You'll have sound communication skills, sound time management skills and the ability to work constructively as part of a team.
Safety is also a key priority for us as an organisation, and we will be seeking candidates who not only have the knowledge and physical ability to safely undertake the manual tasks required in this role, we want you to have a genuine desire to contribute to a positive safety culture.

We also require you to either hold or be willing to obtain a Queensland Recognised Road Worthy Examiners License for Heavy Commercial - up to 16t GVM, Light Commercial and Passenger and Heavy/Light Trailers within 12 months of appointment.
