We are seeking a strategic and experienced Technical Operations Manager to provide guidance and leadership across all technical operations within the West Australia part of our business. This role is based at our Osbourne Park facility, however you will be moving across our different sites as required. Key Responsibilities: Leadership and Strategy: Provide strategic guidance and leadership across all technical operations within the Heidelberg Materials Australia brand. Culture and Safety: Foster a culture of high performance, safety, diversity, and inclusion within the technical workforce. Promote good Health and Safety behaviors and challenge non-compliance.


Compliance and Standards: Ensure technical facilities and personnel are operating within relevant WH&S and environmental legislation, Australian Standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies. Financial Performance: Responsible for the financial performance of technical operations, including resourcing to meet market volumes and product testing demands. Risk Management: Take initiative to identify and control risks and hazards. Ensure good housekeeping and environmental consideration is maintained. Coaching and Development: Provide coaching and guidance to frontline leadership to increase the capability of the technical group. Develop technical personnel training programs. Customer Support: Provide high-level competent technical services and support to internal and external customers by assessing customer requirements and developing practical solutions. Collaboration: Develop effective working relationships with all internal and external direct and indirect contacts.


Travel: Some travel is expected in this role to provide oversight of facilities within the area of responsibility. Qualifications: Proven experience in a similar role within the construction materials industry. Strong leadership and strategic planning skills. In-depth knowledge of WH&S and environmental legislation, Australian Standards, and regulatory requirements. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to manage financial performance and resources effectively. Commitment to fostering a culture of safety, diversity, and inclusion.
