The City of Fremantle is currently seeking to appoint a suitably experienced, motivated and enthusiastic Venue Grounds and Maintenance Officer to join Fremantle Arts Centre.
You will be passionate about outdoor public spaces and have a genuine interest in ensuring the high-level presentation of the grounds and precinct at Fremantle Arts Centre.
Key responsibilities include:
• Ensure FAC to be a welcoming, accessible, and high functioning physical space for artists, communities, audiences, program participants and visitors.• Schedule and manage all operational requirements with relevant contractors; including building maintenance & new site works. Advise, inform and communicate potential impacts to wider Arts & Culture team.
• Coordinate purchasing, maintenance and storage of all ground's machinery, equipment and consumables.
• Perform routine maintenance of special fixtures and minor assets required for the smooth operations of all FAC programs.
To be considered for this position, you will need:
• A formal qualification and/or significant experience in horticulture, or maintenance or groundskeeping.
• Project management experience.
• Effective time management with demonstrated ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.
• Knowledge of current risk management processes and procedures.
