Salary: $160,000pa + allowances

We have an opportunity for a Senior Engineer – Projects to join our Infrastructure Services team in Tom Price.

Are you an enthusiastic project manager with experience in delivering projects and enjoy working in rural Western Australia? Do you have experience in maintenance and construction of unsealed roads? Do you want to take the next step and manage a dynamic team of Project Managers to deliver significant infrastructure projects for the Shire of Ashburton?

We are seeking the right leader to take this newly formed team to the next level. You will be responsible for leading the team in an environment where you will have the ability to be innovative and think outside the square to develop industry leading solutions to project delivery.

There is strong focus on rural roads with the Shire allocating between $15-$19 million each year to capital roads projects and $5-$10 million each year on rural road maintenance programs. There will also be the opportunity to expand into other aspects of the organisation to project manage and deliver a diverse range of projects.

We are looking for candidates with extensive experience in civil infrastructure and/or the building construction industry validated by a Civil Engineering Degree or Project Management qualification. Substantial knowledge and experience in project and contract management including the ability to develop and administer contracts and monitor project performance to scope, cost, quality and time is a must. Highly regarded would be similar experience in a local government environment.
