About this position:

Kingborough Council has an exciting opportunity for an experienced statutory planner to join its Development Services Department.  Kingborough is experiencing rapid growth in infrastructure and residential development, which presents an opportunity to be involved in specialist planning challenges. 

The Planner is responsible for the effective and efficient assessment of statutory planning applications, including initial advice to applicants, detailed assessment of proposals, preparation of reports and attending to any subsequent appeals or compliance activity. 

You will hold tertiary qualifications in planning and have relevant post-graduate experience in a statutory planning role. 

As the successful applicant, you will have:

  • Tertiary qualifications and experience relevant to the position,
  • Good time management skills,
  • The ability to prepare reports and correspondence.
